JOB SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Attendant will perform a wide range of assisting tasks relating to the manufacturing environment; such as, material handling, receiving, inspection, machine operation and other assigned duties. The Manufacturing Attendant will coordinate and lead the effort to keep parts clean, well packaged, and staged for the next operation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the production environment in keeping the shop free of foreign objects, and operating in an efficient fashion. Includes clean-up/floor scrubber machine operation.
• Assist in material handling through packaging, staging, moving/loading/unloading, bagging & tagging, and other part -need requirements for operations to run efficiently for jobs in queue.
• Operates VFM and CBF machines
• Performs sandblast activity
• Perform simple deburring of parts
• Responsible to adhere to the company Quality Policy, and to understand and follow all applicable Quality Work Instructions and Procedures
• Perform assigned and/or best judgement of duties for day-to-day operation.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
• Requires broad knowledge of aircraft parts and equipment, and the ability to read aircraft blueprints.
• Two-year vocational training is preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Be able to perform mid-level math skills efficiently and accurately.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
• Proficient in computer applications.
• Knowledge in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection gauges
• Machining background experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to the aerospace industry preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for both the administrative and manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of proper safety protocol, such as, ear and eye protection, fitted clothing, limited to no jewelry.
