Job Description

Do you instinctively look at a production line and immediately see opportunities to improve flow, eliminate waste, and increase output? When equipment goes down or a process drifts out of control, do you feel compelled to dig into the root cause until you’ve engineered a permanent solution? Are you driven to build smarter systems—integrating automation, refining layouts, and optimizing tooling—to create scalable, high-performance manufacturing environments? Do you thrive when balancing hands-on production support with long-term continuous improvement initiatives that elevate safety, quality, and throughput?

If this sounds like you, then we need to talk…

Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer II at Frazer reports to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Director, and is responsible for supporting the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes within the production facility of Frazer. This position will provide technical assistance, troubleshoot equipment, and solve routine technical issues ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and cost effectively. This position will enhance overall productivity, maintain quality standards and improve the reliability of Frazer’s operations.

  3. Own day-to-day production support for metal fabrication and assembly: rapidly troubleshoot issues at fiber lasers, punches, press brakes, weld cells, and finishing lines to protect safety, quality, and schedule.

  4. Specify, program, and support industrial automation, including robotic sanders, robotic painting equipment, and AGVs

  5. Configure and administer MES for routings, work instructions, data collection, traceability, defect capture, and electronic sign-offs

  6. Maintain accurate digital twins of processes/cell layouts (CAD), conduct throughput simulations as needed, and drive layout/flow changes for capacity and ergonomics

  7. Develop and manage project plans (scope, timeline, cost/benefit), prepare capital requests (ROI/NPV), and report status to leadership with clear risk/mitigation actions.

  8. Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.

  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production issues and support root cause analysis.

  10. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
