In this key leadership role, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, guide skilled production personnel, and ensure our custom-built machinery is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a critical role in coordinating production activities, supporting continuous improvement, and developing a culture centered on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise manufacturing personnel to achieve production, quality, safety, and scheduling objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee the construction and assembly of machinery throughout the production process.
- Assign work and manage priorities for Leadmen and production teams.
- Build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams while fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitor project budgets, labor hours, and completion schedules to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
- Coordinate machine painting schedules, engineering runoffs, and customer runoffs.
- Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve production challenges and expedite missing or defective parts.
- Promote and enforce quality standards, safety practices, and company policies.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, performance evaluations, and mentoring.
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing prospective employees.
- Collaborate with the Traffic Manager to coordinate machine shipments.
- Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and workforce documentation.
- Identify process improvements that enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support manufacturing operations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or shop production environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience directing teams and managing production activities.
- Leadership Skills for Lead Workers certification or equivalent leadership training preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and workforce management.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of welding, fabrication, machine assembly, and blueprint reading.
- Strong understanding of machine functions, components, and production workflows.
- Ability to identify production issues and implement practical solutions.
- Proficiency with computers and standard business software applications.
- Experience tracking labor hours, budgets, and project milestones.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with production teams on the shop floor. Candidates should be comfortable working in a traditional manufacturing environment that may include:
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Exposure to manufacturing-related fumes, odors, and shop conditions.
- Standing and walking for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, crawling, and lifting as needed.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn while in manufacturing areas.
