The Marketing Manager serves as the operational hub of the DI&CO Marketing team, ensuring marketing initiatives are prioritized, coordinated, resourced, and successfully delivered across all DI&CO companies. This role transforms strategic direction into actionable plans, connecting leadership, sales teams, practice leaders, marketing specialists, and external partners to ensure the right work is completed at the right time and with the greatest impact.



Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this hands-on role leads the day-to-day coordination of marketing initiatives, campaign execution, proposal operations, workflow management, marketing reporting, and resource allocation. 



The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, and excels at aligning people, processes, and priorities to achieve measurable business results.



 



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS may include but are not limited to:



Marketing Operations & Workflow Management




  • Serve as the primary intake and prioritization lead for marketing requests across DI&CO companies.

  • Manage and maintain the marketing project management platform, workflows, templates, dashboards, and reporting tools.

  • Evaluate and prioritize marketing initiatives based on business objectives, team capacity, deadlines, and strategic impact.

  • Maintain visibility into all active marketing projects and proactively identify scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and potential risks.

  • Establish and continuously improve marketing processes, systems, and operational efficiencies.

  • Manage marketing budgets at the project and initiative level while supporting budget tracking and forecasting efforts.

  • Coordinate and manage external marketing, web, search, public relations, creative, and production partners as needed.



Campaign & Project Production




  • Lead marketing project kickoffs and develop project plans, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate the execution of campaigns, content initiatives, digital marketing efforts, events, sales enablement projects, and internal communications.

  • Serve as a hands-on marketing project manager to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through completion.

  • Monitor project progress and maintain accountability across internal teams and external partners.

  • Review marketing deliverables for quality, consistency, completeness, and alignment with project objectives prior to final delivery.

  • Partner with marketing specialists to remove obstacles, streamline workflows, and ensure successful execution.



Proposal Operations & Business Development Support




  • Lead proposal operations, including kickoff meetings, production schedules, milestone tracking, workload balancing, and resource allocation.

  • Support major business development pursuits by aligning marketing resources, timelines, and deliverables with pursuit objectives.

  • Partner with Sales, Practice Leaders, and Marketing specialists to ensure proposal efforts are executed effectively and on schedule.

  • Contribute quality review and oversight of proposal deliverables prior to submission.



Marketing Performance & Reporting




  • Own the collection, analysis, and reporting of marketing performance metrics across DI&CO companies.

  • Monitor website performance, keyword rankings, search visibility, inbound lead generation, campaign effectiveness, and engagement metrics.

  • Develop and maintain recurring dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership.

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement based on marketing performance data.

  • Partner with external web and search firms, marketing technology partners, and internal marketing resources to support optimization efforts.

  • Track and communicate progress toward departmental goals related to inbound lead performance and marketing effectiveness.



Team Resource Planning & Communications




  • Support hiring efforts, onboarding activities, and workforce planning initiatives.

  • Monitor team and contractor capacity to ensure resources are appropriately allocated across projects and brands.

  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment that supports successful execution across the marketing team.

  • Ensure marketing priorities are clearly communicated and aligned across all DI&CO companies.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support company initiatives, campaigns, pursuits, events, and growth objectives.

  • Reallocate marketing resources and adjust priorities as business needs evolve.

  • Escalate competing priorities, resource constraints, and strategic conflicts as appropriate.



 



KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES




  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of marketing operations, campaign execution, content development, digital marketing, and business development support.

  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments, leadership levels, and external partners.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings, align stakeholders, and drive accountability.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience tracking and reporting on website performance, keyword rankings, inbound lead activity, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Experience managing external vendors, consultants, and agency relationships.

  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to balance strategic awareness with day-to-day execution.

  • Proficiency with project management platforms such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, or similar systems.

  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems such as MediaValet or similar platforms.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace.



 



EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing operations, project management, business development support, or related disciplines.

  • Experience coordinating complex marketing initiatives across multiple stakeholders and business units required.

  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or similar tools.

  • Experience supporting proposal development, pursuit coordination, or business development activities preferred.

  • Experience managing marketing workflows, project schedules, reporting, and resource allocation required.

  • Experience working with professional services, design, architecture, engineering, construction, experiential, or related industries preferred.

  • Demonstrated success operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
