Hashery is a New Jersey–based cannabis dispensary brand focused on quality products, strong community connections, and a consistent in-store experience. We operate one dispensary location today and are building a scalable, compliant marketing foundation to support growth over time.
The Opportunity
Hashery is seeking a Marketing Manager to own and execute marketing efforts for our current dispensary location. This is a hands-on, in-office role responsible for driving traffic, sales, and customer engagement through thoughtful, compliant marketing initiatives, both in store and across digital channels.
This role partners closely with retail leadership to ensure promotions, campaigns, and communications are well planned, clearly communicated, and effectively executed.
Immediate Impact
- Launch Hashery’s full-scale regional marketing campaigns
- Develop and execute a compliance-friendly digital and social media strategy
- Build partnerships with local events, festivals, and community organizations across New Jersey
- Manage in-store promotions, events, and product launches to drive foot traffic and engagement
- Support marketing initiatives for store expansions and new openings
- Oversee the design, procurement, and inventory management of branded merchandise and promotional materials

What You’ll Do
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with sales goals, seasonal priorities, and regulatory requirements
- Plan and manage promotional calendars tied to product launches, vendor activations, holidays, and sales initiatives
- Coordinate campaign timelines from concept through execution, ensuring alignment across teams
In-Store Marketing & Promotions
- Own all in-store marketing initiatives, including sales promotions, holiday campaigns, product features, and vendor activations
- Partner with retail leadership to ensure promotions are clearly communicated to staff and customers
- Oversee in-store signage, displays, merchandising materials, and promotional assets
- Ensure consistency between in-store messaging and digital communications
Customer Communications
- Lead the development and execution of customer-facing communications, including email and SMS campaigns
- Coordinate messaging for sales, promotions, events, and holidays across email, text, and in-store channels
- Ensure all communications are clear, timely, brand-aligned, and compliant
Digital & Brand Management
- Manage social media and digital marketing efforts within New Jersey cannabis regulations
- Maintain consistent brand voice and visual standards across all channels
- Manage product visibility and accuracy across digital platforms
Community & Events
- Support and execute in-store events, vendor days, and community activations
- Represent the brand at select local or industry events as needed
Analytics, Budgeting & Compliance
- Track and report on campaign performance, including traffic, engagement, and sales impact
- Manage marketing budgets, vendors, and timelines
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with New Jersey cannabis advertising regulations
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- In-office availability in New Jersey (Monday–Friday), with occasional travel as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- At least 5 years of marketing experience (brand management, retail, or digital marketing)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand-building and campaign execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (social platforms, analytics, Canva/Adobe, etc.)
Preferred
- Cannabis industry marketing experience
- Familiarity with New Jersey cannabis advertising regulations
- Experience supporting retail promotions and sales-driven marketing
- Knowledge of METRC, POS systems, and loyalty platforms
Physical Requirements
- In-office schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, and in-store presence for promotions or events
- Regular use of computers, design software, and analytics tools
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (event and marketing materials)
