Position Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and driving execution across all marketing initiatives at Mango Cannabis. This role ensures marketing projects move efficiently from idea to execution by managing workflows, timelines, cross-functional communication, and team accountability across a rapidly growing multi-state retail operation.


This position serves as the operational hub of the marketing department—partnering closely with leadership, store operations, purchasing, vendors, and creative resources to ensure promotions, campaigns, store activations, product launches, and events are executed on time and consistently across all markets. The Marketing Operations Manager helps bring structure to a fast-paced environment by improving processes, managing competing priorities, and ensuring the marketing team is focused on initiatives that drive traffic, revenue, and brand consistency.


Key Responsibilities

●    Manage day-to-day workflow of all marketing projects across multiple states and store locations

●    Serve as the central point of contact for incoming marketing requests from leadership, stores, purchasing, and vendors

●    Prioritize projects based on business impact, deadlines, and available resources

●    Assign work across internal marketing resources and ensure deadlines are met

●    Track deliverables and proactively follow up to keep projects moving

●    Reduce last-minute requests by creating stronger planning processes and timelines

●    Oversee execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, retail promotions, and seasonal initiatives

●    Ensure campaigns are launched accurately and on time across all applicable markets

●    Coordinate campaign timelines, approvals, and execution across departments

●    Partner with store operations to ensure stores have the tools and communication needed to execute promotions successfully

●    Ensure promotional messaging remains consistent across all customer-facing channels

●    Oversee planning and execution of vendor activations, pop-ups, sponsorship events, and store events

●    Partner with vendors to coordinate promotional opportunities and maximize participation

●    Support revenue-generating sponsorship opportunities when applicable

●    Ensure event logistics are organized and executed efficiently across markets

●    Partner closely with purchasing teams to align marketing efforts with product priorities and inventory needs

●    Collaborate with store operations to support retail traffic-driving initiatives

●    Work with leadership on major campaigns, new store openings, and expansion initiatives

●    Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, freelancers, and print partners as needed

●    Build and maintain marketing calendars, workflows, and planning tools

●    Create SOPs and scalable processes for recurring marketing activities

●    Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements

●    Track campaign execution metrics, deadlines, and project outcomes

●    Provide leadership with visibility into project progress, priorities, and bottlenecks

●    Support compliance with state-specific cannabis advertising regulations across all markets

●    Ensure promotional materials are reviewed and executed in accordance with applicable regulations

●    Travel as needed for major events, store openings, and key activations

●    Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

Required

●    4+ years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, retail marketing, project management, or campaign execution

●    2+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects, timelines, and competing priorities

●    Experience supporting multi-location retail operations, franchise environments, hospitality, cannabis, or other fast-paced consumer-facing industries

●    Must be 21+ and able to meet all state cannabis employment requirements

●    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Project Management, or related field preferred but not required

●    Experience managing promotional calendars, campaigns, events, or marketing workflows

●    Strong experience working with project management tools (ex: Asana, Monday.com, Trello, ClickUp, spreadsheets, etc.)

●    Strong understanding of marketing execution timelines, vendor coordination, and campaign planning

●    Experience working directly with multiple internal stakeholders and balancing competing priorities

●    Strong written and verbal communication skills

●    Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed across multiple markets

Physical Requirements

●    Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods of time

●    Ability to move throughout office, retail, and event environments as needed

●    Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds for marketing materials, signage, event supplies, and promotional items

●    Ability to travel between store locations, events, and company sites as needed

●    Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing, data entry, and reviewing marketing materials

●    Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or extended hours during major campaigns, store openings, or events


Work Environment

●    Primarily based at Mango headquarters with regular collaboration across departments

●    Supports a fast-paced, multi-state retail operation with shifting priorities and deadlines

●    Regular interaction with store teams, vendors, external partners, and leadership

●    Occasional travel required for store visits, grand openings, events, and major activations across markets including Michigan, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and New York (with additional markets as the company grows)

●    Work may occasionally take place in retail stores, event spaces, warehouses, or outdoor environments depending on business needs

●    Must be able to operate effectively in a highly regulated cannabis environment while maintaining compliance with all company policies and state regulations
