NLBC Marketing Specialist


Position Summary

New Lisbon Broadband & Communications (NLBC) is seeking a creative, results-driven Marketing Specialist to lead and support the company's marketing initiatives across residential and business services. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing marketing campaigns that drive subscriber growth, increase brand awareness, support community engagement, and strengthen customer relationships throughout our service territory.

The Marketing Specialist will work closely with company leadership, sales, customer service, and external marketing partners to execute strategic marketing initiatives that support NLBC's fiber broadband, CloudFiber wireless, business communications, and community outreach efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, creative, and comfortable managing multiple projects while delivering measurable results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual marketing plans that support NLBC's strategic goals and subscriber growth objectives.

• Create and manage marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, print, radio, direct mail, and community outreach channels.

• Support residential and business service marketing efforts, including fiber broadband, CloudFiber wireless, voice, and commercial connectivity solutions.

• Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to identify opportunities and improve marketing effectiveness.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), campaign performance, subscriber growth, churn, conversion rates, and return on marketing investment.

• Create and maintain marketing content for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, advertisements, brochures, sales materials, and community communications.

• Coordinate community events, sponsorships, trade shows, ribbon cuttings, customer appreciation events, and local outreach activities.

• Assist with customer communications related to service launches, construction updates, promotions, and company announcements.

• Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, support prospecting efforts, and increase customer acquisition.

• Manage relationships with marketing vendors, advertising partners, printers, promotional product suppliers, and creative agencies.

• Maintain and strengthen NLBC's brand identity across all customer touchpoints.

• Support website content management and search engine optimization efforts.

• Analyze marketing data and customer trends to improve future campaigns and customer engagement strategies.

• Assist with grant-related marketing and community engagement initiatives when applicable.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Three or more years of marketing experience preferred.

• Experience developing and executing digital and traditional marketing campaigns.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising, email marketing, and content creation.

• Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with website content management systems, social media management platforms, and marketing analytics tools.

• Experience with CRM platforms and customer engagement software preferred.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Photography, videography, and content creation experience is a plus.

• Telecommunications, broadband, technology, or utility industry experience is preferred but not required.
