Marketing Specialist

Position Summary:

Support the marketing department by carrying out the daily tasks to keep the department functioning and facilitate the duties of the marketing manager. This position will have a strong focus on content creation for our company and products.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:


  • Researches and coordinates all aspects of trade shows and conferences, and attends some trade shows
  • Coordinates all aspects of Lunch and Learns, including invitations, updating calendar, mailing literature, sending certificates after lunch and learn and follow up satisfaction e-mail
  • Distributes web leads to appropriate people across all divisions
  • Organizes internal and external distribution of marketing collaterals, including inventory, placing orders, verifying receipt
  • Mailings, including data entry of leads, CRM management
  • Coordinates and delivers email and mass-mail campaigns
  • Collects and qualifies information regarding potential customers via magazines, e-mails, internet and specific web-based programs, i.e. McGraw, Sweets, ThomasNet
  • Engages customers on social media, including blog, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc
  • Phone contact and follow up with potential customers and consultants
  • Assists with creation of ads, brochures, case studies, presentations and other collateral, including collaborating with and directing media agencies
  • Assists with corporate website content and updating
  • Ensures brand messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies across all media platforms, events and opportunities
  • Phone coverage during lunches, absences
  • Assists with monthly and quarterly reports
  • Assists with analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Sales or related
  • Minimum 1-3 years of marketing experience
  • Social Media experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, editing and organizational skills
  • Comfortable interacting with customers in person and on the phone
  • Ability to manage numerous activities and support the efforts of others in achieving company goals
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Adobe Creative Suite (a plus)
  • Experience with email marketing services (Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc.) a plus
  • Experience working with and maintaining brand standards
  • Experience with CRM system a plus
