As we expand our universe across games, animation, merchandise, and digital content, we're looking for a talented Marketing Video Production Designer to craft the visuals that define how the world sees our brand.
The Role
As Marketing Video Production Designer, you'll be the creative force behind Mob Entertainment's marketing video output. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and broader creative team, you'll design and execute on creative marketing materials such as cinematic and gameplay trailers, narrative lore videos, static marketing images, video thumbnail art, and other visual elements for various marketing campaigns. If you live in After Effects, know how to quickly bring an idea to life in Blender/Maya, and have a strong sense for pacing and visual storytelling, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate marketing creative briefs and develop video and static marketing content in support of Mob Entertainment content across owned and partner channels
- Collaborate with fellow designers and Marketing leadership to ensure projects are successful and cleared through leadership approval channels
- Maintain Mob Entertainment's visual language across all marketing output, ensuring brand consistency
- Adapt deliverables for multiple formats and aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, etc.) across platforms along with creating versions for various partner channels
- Contribute to concepting sessions, bringing visual ideas and references to the table during pre-production
- Iterate quickly on feedback from internal stakeholders, keeping projects moving without sacrificing quality
- Manage and organize project files, assets, and templates to support the broader production team
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in video production, animation, or a closely related field
- Moderate proficiency in video editing and vfx (Davinci Resolve or Adobe Suite); Autodesk Maya or Blender experience is a strong plus
- A strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics/animation work across trailers, social content, or entertainment marketing
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals in typography, color, composition, and visual hierarchy and how they translate to motion
- Experience designing assets for gaming, entertainment, or digital-first brands
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple projects with tight turnaround times, with a demonstrated organizational method that accounts for multiple channels of feedback
- Strong communication skills and comfort working within a collaborative creative team
- A sharp eye for detail and a high personal bar for quality
- Enthusiasm for the evolving zeitgeist around social media assets, what succeeds, and what doesn’t
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with Mob Entertainment's IP (Poppy Playtime) and its aesthetic — childhood nostalgia through a horror lens
- Familiarity versioning assets to first-party requirements (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
- Experience working with rating board guidelines (ESRB, PEGI, etc.)
- Experience with game capture, gameplay editing, or working alongside game development teams
- Scrappiness is key - the ideal candidate can work creatively with limited resources to make impactful and exciting marketing content
- Experience with Unreal Engine, particularly in cinematics.
- Background in illustration, animation or character-driven design
- Comfort designing for global audiences and adapting assets for localization
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and equity
