Job Description
Overview The Master Data Administrator will manage the data and product life cycle by maintaining and updating new and existing model information across multiple systems, including SAP, Salesforce, and Anaplan. This person will work closely with key stakeholders to obtain and share accurate product and pricing information, and will serve as a subject matter resource on how data structures and field-level decisions affect downstream processes. Responsibilities Collaborate with Solutions Sales and Product and Category Heads to create new SKUs, process change requests (e.g., pricing, hierarchy, vendor) on existing SKUs, and manage the product lifecycle across all SKUs Ensure SKUs and data sharing meet compliance with company standards Support projects designed to increase automation, reduce errors, and improve speed and efficiency within the SKU governance process Assist with systems integration and migration projects, including data validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including publishing price lists for Panasonic product categories Review, audit, and update product data across systems Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Administration, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of two years working in a data governance, data administration, or systems-adjacent function, or equivalent coursework or professional experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open tasks simultaneously with a strong instinct for follow-through and closure Proven ability to self-audit work product, naturally building quality checks into processes without being directed to do so Curiosity about how systems connect, with the ability to reason about the downstream impact of data decisions across business functions Tool-agnostic problem-solving approach, demonstrating structured thinking when presented with ambiguous data challenges regardless of the tools available Experience managing product, customer, vendor, and pricing data a plus Extremely detail-oriented and organized Strong time management skills Strong sense of urgency and follow-through Self-motivated and proactive Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple and changing priorities and projects Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, logic statements, and other advanced formulas Strong working knowledge of data structures and system architecture a plus Experience working with SAP and Salesforce.com a plus Experience working in the technology sector a plus Experience with SQL Server or Python a plus Customer service experience a plus Two or more years of experience working with a CRM system, such as Salesforce.com Problem Solving Ability to assess the downstream consequences of data entry decisions across systems, including quoting, inventory, purchasing, shipping, billing, and reporting, understanding that a field-level change is rarely isolated Ability to answer and redirect emails from various stakeholders in a timely and courteous manner Ability to enforce process and SOX compliance with product and company data Process-oriented mindset with a proactive focus on continuous improvement Communications Ability to work with factory planners in Japan and Taiwan to ask and answer questions on new products Ability to work and negotiate with groups where English is not their first language Ability to work with both internal and external partners, including Sales, Supply Chain, Product Managers, Finance, Channel Partners, Legal, and Engineering Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members Ability to work with the Material Master Governance group at the Panasonic North America corporate level Ability to enforce audit compliance with multiple groups Ability to communicate with people across all levels of the organization, both written and verbal Other Requirements Work will be performed in a hybrid office environment Infrequent travel for training or development meetings may be required (less than 5%) Benefits & Perks – What's In It For You Panasonic is committed to supporting your total wellbeing through a wide variety of benefits and wellness programs to support your physical, emotional, financial, social, and environmental health.
