JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Expeditor serves as the primary point of contact for all aircraft parts required to support the successful completion of commercial aircraft heavy maintenance projects. This role will receive part requirements directly from maintenance teams, coordinate with Program Managers to determine whether parts are supplied by the customer or ComAV Technical Services, LLC, and ensure all details are accurately entered into the Corridor ERP system. The Materials Expeditor will also maintain a critical parts list that tracks task associations, ownership of parts, and overall status to minimize delays and support on-time project delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Attend daily status meetings to stay aligned with project needs.
- Review and process pre-draw parts requirements.
- Order pre-draw materials for scheduled and incoming projects.
- Enter all parts and tooling requests into the Corridor ERP system.
- Track and monitor AOG parts for specific projects, ensuring priority handling.
- Obtain daily updates from Purchasing and coordinate with Receiving to expedite priority parts.
- Communicate availability of priority parts to Program Managers and Planning once received and issued to job cards.
- Coordinate rental or loaned tooling when ComAV inventory is unavailable, preventing delays to maintenance or aircraft delivery.
- Provide weekly material status updates on outstanding parts requirements, highlighting potential schedule impacts.
- Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies.
