Join our team as a Materials Manager, where you will play a critical role in ensuring materials, inventory, and purchasing activities run smoothly to support business operations, sales, and customer fulfillment.


In this role, you will oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, procurement, and purchasing functions while leading and developing a team responsible for the daily flow of goods and materials. You will act as a key link between operations, sales, order entry, technical support, and finance to ensure seamless execution across the business.

How Will You Make an Impact?


• Oversee daily warehouse, inventory, and purchasing operations to ensure efficient material flow
• Manage planning and forecasting activities in collaboration with demand planning teams
• Ensure accurate inventory control through physical counts, reconciliations, and system accuracy
• Supervise shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution operations
• Lead and develop warehouse, inventory, and purchasing staff through coaching and performance management
• Maintain strong working relationships with VP of Operations, Sales, Order Entry, Technical Support, and Finance teams
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and internal operational procedures
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and supply chain issues across departments
• Oversee procurement activities including supplier selection, purchasing schedules, and material availability
• Support annual physical inventory processes and ongoing inventory audits
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness
• Support reporting, forecasting, and operational planning initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support business planning and execution
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Travel overnight as needed and work extended hours when required to support operations


What You Bring


• Strong experience managing warehouse, inventory, or materials operations in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in an operational setting
• Deep understanding of inventory control, procurement, and supply chain processes
• Experience working with MRP or ERP systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in fast-moving environments
• Ability to work independently and drive results under pressure
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• High level of dependability, initiative, and accountability
• Experience with end-to-end supply chain or demand planning
• Background in process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives
• Experience supporting audits, compliance, or regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with cross-functional coordination in manufacturing environments
• Experience managing multi-shift warehouse or high-volume operations
• Exposure to cost control, budgeting, or operational reporting


Your Background


• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of materials management experience in manufacturing or distribution
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse or materials operations
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems required
• Strong understanding of inventory control and purchasing workflows


Salary range: $120K– $135K
