Job Description

Under general supervision, the Mechanic performs routine and non-routine maintenance to help optimize mechanical
performance and operating efficiency. Assists with light to medium repairs on oilfield-related equipment. This position will report to our Roosevelt, Utah office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the maintenance, service, and repair of natural gas engines and salt-water pumps
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and replaces systems associated with engines
  • Verifies dimensions, specifications, and tolerances using blueprints
  • Ensures mechanical optimization of the engines, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and cooling fans are
    functioning properly
  • Participates in multi-discipline teams and team-directed activities
  • Works with facility engineers providing input to optimize the systems
  • Ensures appropriate requirements and records are maintained
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate requirements and records are maintained
  • Maximizes the number of repairs performed at the lowest appropriate cost
  • Maintains compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
  • Expands electrical trouble-shooting techniques and educates others on optimal techniques
  • Utilizes knowledge of production equipment to trouble-shoot mechanical problems
  • Supports and assists the members of the operations department as needed
  • Collaborates with both the operational and HSE team to effectively meet area and departmental HSE goals
  • Complies with all the Company's Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective
    action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary
  • Participates in and adheres to all training programs designed to enhance HSE knowledge, safety standards and
    improve job performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two-year technical degree or higher preferred
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
  • 0-2 years of experience in the mechanical field
  • Previous experience with gas production equipment, engines, or gas compressors preferred
