Med Tech/CNA

Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:00am–3:00pm) or 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:00pm)

We are currently hiring two full-time Med Tech/CNAs for our Assisted Living community:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am–3:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm–11:00pm

Position Summary

This role combines medication administration responsibilities with hands-on resident care. Team members work closely with nurses and other caregivers to ensure residents receive safe, quality care while maintaining their dignity, independence, and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Safely administer medications according to physician orders and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration in the electronic medical record
  • Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the nurse
  • Assist with medication reorders as needed
  • Answer resident call lights and respond to requests promptly
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Document resident care and services provided
  • Participate in resident-centered care planning
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide excellent care

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current North Carolina CNA certification and active listing on the NC Nurse Aide Registry
  • Current Med Tech certification
  • Documentation of successful completion of an approved Adult Care Home Medication Aide/Med Tech training program
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
