Establishing and conducting performance appraisals. Distributing workload within the team and ensure work assignments are carried out to completion. Making decisions on work problems presented by subordinate supervisors, team leaders, or personnel. Interpreting, explaining, implementing and enforcing regulations. Analyzing and measuring a program's productivity. Researching regulations and operating procedures. Analyzing current and future workforce requirements for resource management. Establishing criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of organizational goals and objectives. Finding and implementing ways to eliminate or reduce barriers to production and improve business practices. Experience sustaining working partnerships with stakeholders, subordinates, peers and superiors. Communicating orally and interacting effectively with individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds or levels of understanding and divergent opinions and priorities. Providing technical advice and interpretation to management of laws and regulations. Implementing ideas for process improvement and quality of work. Providing advice to management and program personnel on budgetary and finance issues. Maintaining a continuing review of operating and financial programs. Operating within a standardized budget. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. Walking, stooping, and bending is required. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office. Incumbent is required to travel between two main locations, which are located 70 miles apart, and to two VA Clinics that are located along the Oregon coast. Qualifications

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess 1 year of specialized experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service, that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) needed to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to this Medical Administration Officer position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes performing overall management and supervision of a healthcare system including planning, directing, and coordinating operations, budget control, resource management, and delegating authority to subordinates; handling personnel management activities; analyzing and developing adherence plans, to include anticipated implications, for laws, regulations, policies, industry trends, and best practices related to hospital administration; conveying recommendations for modifications of Electronic Health Record to increase efficiency, develop process improvements, and distribute pre/post training requirements; managing marketing, business planning, external revenue generation, insurance functions and overall Health Administration Services. (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR RESUME TO BE CREDITABLE.)
