The Medical Assistant at Carolina Urgent Care plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care by supporting both clinical and administrative functions. This position works closely with providers and staff in a fast-paced environment, assisting with patient intake, clinical procedures, and daily operations to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.

As a Medical Assistant, you will provide both administrative and clinical support to help maintain the efficient operation of our Urgent Care. Your goal is to perform all tasks accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.


Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Check in and Check out patients
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
