What you'll do
- Apply Medical Assistant knowledge and skills in a real clinical environment
- assist the Physician, PA, or NP in support of medical care of urgent care patients.
- Day to day activities will vary from triage, answering phones, taking medical histories, to performing lab work.
- Practice clinical and administrative tasks under direct supervision
- Develop confidence, efficiency, and accuracy in patient care
- Gain exposure to daily clinic workflows and patient flow management
- Strengthen communication, teamwork, and professionalism
- Demonstrate readiness for entry-level Medical Assistant employment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- 1-2 letters of recommendation of endorsement from accredited Medical Assistant Program supervisor or lead
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
