Description
Medical Assistants provide physician support services that ensure that healthcare facilities run smoothly. They are responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks.
Requirements
- Outreach to encourage the improved healthcare manage of the person served.
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources; Optimize resources and opportunities through community linkages and enhance social supports.
- Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, history and medication listing.
- Completes all necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practices charting policy.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures.
- Administers prescribed oral medications and gives intramuscular and subcutaneous and intradermal injections.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Experience & Skills required;
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program;
- CPR/BLS certification is required;
- One year experience working in a physician office;
- Knowledge of substance abuse or related field;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively on a team.
Salary Description
$25.00- 26.80
