Position Overview and Expectations


The Low T Center Medical Assistant is responsible for a wide range of medical and operational duties and functions. They report directly to the Center Director at the location they are assigned. The basic skill set required to be effective is maintaining an excellence in phlebotomy and the administration of injections. They work closely with the Front Desk Coordinator and Center Director to maintain overall clinic flow and operational efficiency. 


Essential Job Functions


Medical Assistant basic duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Takes vitals, administers injections and performs blood draws in an accurately and timely manner guaranteeing excellent patient flow and comfort.
  • Cross trained at a proficient level on all Front Desk opening and closing duties.
  • Maintains all daily, weekly, and monthly lab forms in an accurate and in a timely manner.
  • Uses appropriate safety attire and equipment at all times and wears only Low T approved uniform.
  • Keeps lab and patient room’s clean and organized at all times.
  • Works with Center Director and Front Desk to ensure that all labs are ordered correctly.
  • Is up to date and proficient on all maintenance and operational activities for both Beckman and/or Qualigen machines.
  • Turns in inventory on time and accurately. Orders supplies to maintain an appropriate par level for an efficient and cost effective Center.
  • Maintains primary responsibility for all Center Insurance Verifications.
  • Keeps track of all goals, including monthly bonus and stack ranking incentives, and keeps center engaged in meeting and exceeding these measurements of success.
  • Follows appropriate guidelines on clocking in and out and requesting PTO.

  • High school diploma or GED is required. College degree (associates) is preferred.
  • CLIA and COLA registration.
  • 2+ years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant, previous experience of working in a high-volume blood draw environment with proven ability to administer injections and preform blood draw is highly preferred.
  • Must be passionate about delivering top-notch customer service and have the determination to help expand and grow our center.
