Pediatric Care North has been a pediatric leader in the Northland for the last 35 years, providing loving care to children ages newborn through 21 years. Our practice began with two pediatricians and several staff members that are still working with us today! Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled, patient-facing Medical Assistants and LPNs who thrive in a structured, high-volume clinic environment and take pride in delivering safe, efficient, compassionate care at every encounter. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient patient flow while ensuring children and families feel supported and cared for. You will work closely with providers throughout the clinic day, anticipating needs, preparing patients, and executing care with precision and professionalism.


This role is ideal for someone who:

Key Responsibilities:Direct Patient Care
    • Room patients efficiently and accurately

    • Obtain vitals and complete focused histories

    • Perform vision and hearing screenings

    • Administer vaccinations

    • Prepare patients for provider examination

    • Assist with in-office procedures as needed

Provider Support & Clinic Flow
    • Anticipate provider needs during high-volume sessions

    • Maintain real-time, accurate documentation in the EHR

    • Ensure exam rooms are stocked and prepared

    • Keep clinic sessions running smoothly and on schedule

    • Support efficient transitions between patients

Family Communication
    • Provide clear after-visit instructions

    • Reinforce provider education

    • Address parent questions within scope

    • Maintain a calm and reassuring presence

Qualifications:

  • Valid Medical Assistant certificate or LPN license in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and medical records management/documentation.
  • Knowledge of disease processes, normal growth and development of all age groups.
  • Community health knowledge and theory.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and critical clinical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must operate with cultural sensitivity with all groups of people.
  • General computer skills required, experience with EHR systems is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to handle stressful emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.

Pediatric experience is preferred, but will consider candidates who show an eagerness to learn.
