Medical Assistant Trainee- Full-time positon in the clinic, Monday-Friday, days

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • must be 18 years or older
  • Must be enrolled in the Medical Assistant training program
  • Enrollment in or recently accepted into a Medical Assistant training program
  • Basic computer skills, Word, and Excel required
  • Basic Life Support certification 
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred

Summary

Medical Assistant Trainee

Clinical Support (Under Supervision):

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits
  • Obtain and record vital signs and patient history
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
  • Perform basic clinical tasks as trained (e.g., EKGs, injections, lab prep – as permitted by clinic policy)
  • Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines

Front Office & Administrative Support:

  • Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Answer phones and route messages appropriately
  • Update electronic health records accurate
  • Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and basic billing tasks as trained

Training & Learning Opportunities
