Medical Assistant – Full Time

Position Summary
VMH has a full-time opening for a Medical Assistant. This position is based primarily at the Viroqua Clinic, located in our Viroqua medical office building, with occasional travel to other Vernon Health clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Rooming patients and preparing them for examination
• Taking and accurately recording vital signs
• Assisting nurses and providers with clinical and clerical duties
• Supporting various laboratory procedures as needed

Schedule & Requirements

• Four-day workweek with a Saturday morning rotation
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
• Current CPR certification required
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Minimum starting wage of $19.51 per hour, with higher rates based on experience
