Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, motivated medical receptionist to be a part of our team-oriented family practice.  We strive to provide exceptional care to our patients and be an asset to our community.  We offer competitive salary, and an excellent work environment. 


We are a private practice that promotes work life balance.  The office closes at noon on Fridays and is closed additional days around the Christmas Holiday.  


Pre-Screen questions must be answered to be considered for this position. 




Position Summary. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front office operations efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.  

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Verify insurance information and collect copays or outstanding balances
  • Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient confidentiality
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests as needed
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails
  • Assist with office administrative duties to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and all office policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting required
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems required  (eCW preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times

Schedule: Full day Monday through Thursday.  ½ day on Friday


Work Location: In-person
