$18.00-$25.00/hr.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Medical Records Clerk ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of resident medical records in compliance with all regulatory and facility standards.

Responsibilities for Medical Records Clerk:

  • Collect, organize, and file resident personal information, including medical history, demographic data, and clinical documentation.

  • Issue and distribute medical records and files to authorized individuals and agencies in accordance with facility policies and confidentiality regulations.

  • Maintain and distribute medical charts to appropriate clinical and administrative staff within the facility.

  • Ensure all medical records are maintained in compliance with nursing home policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Verify that patient charts and documentation are complete, accurate, and up to date.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility guidelines.

  • Support audits, surveys, and compliance reviews by retrieving and organizing requested documentation.

  • Assist with record tracking, filing systems, and data entry to ensure efficient record management.

Qualifications for Medical Records Clerk:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

  • Prior medical records experience required.

  • Strong data entry and computer skills with attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology or the ability to quickly learn.

  • Strong customer service skills when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
