Elm Crest Senior Living Community is hiring a Medication Technician (Med Tech) to provide safe, compassionate medication support and resident care within our assisted living community. What You'll Do
- Assist residents with medication administration and limited topical treatments under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director
- Provide quality resident care and support with activities of daily living according to individualized care plans
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition to appropriate clinical staff
- Promote residents' physical, emotional, and mental well-being
- Follow community policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and medication management requirements
- Support a positive, resident-centered environment that reflects the mission and values of Elm Crest
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Iowa Medication Manager Certification or Iowa Certified Medication Aide certification required
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach to care
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care experience preferred
- Experience administering medications in a senior living setting preferred
- Willing to train the right candidate with the required certification
