This role leads the sourcing function for service procurement by directing end-to-end purchase order operations, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing team performance. The Manager, Sourcing is accountable for accurate, timely, and compliant procurement of services organization-wide, driving process improvements while ensuring alignment with regulatory, audit, and company policy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops a team of sourcing professionals, managing performance, providing ongoing coaching and aligning team objectives with departmental priorities.
  • Oversees the end-to-end purchase order process for service acquisitions, ensuring accurate issuance, timely processing, and alignment with company procurement policies.
  • Collaborates with requestors and department heads to verify service requirements and ensure proper authorization before purchase order issuance.
  • Manages vendor onboarding, ongoing relationship management, and prompt resolution of service delivery or purchase order issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, audit standards, company policies, contractual terms, and service agreements related to procurement activities.
  • Monitors purchase order status and service delivery timelines, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies, delays, or escalations.
  • Partners with Finance and other functions to reconcile invoices with purchase orders and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the service procurement function, including the use of procurement technologies.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent), required.
  • 6+ years of related experience, required.
  • 8+ years of related experience, preferred.
  • Experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual design comps for desktop and mobile as well as conducting user research, usability tests, and analysis, required.
  • Strong understanding of CX principles, IA frameworks, personas, journey mapping, and empathy mapping. Ability to independently apply insights from usability testing methods—such as tree testing, card sorting, and first-click testing—to inform and improve the structure of complex product experiences.
  • Skilled in user interface design and producing polished, consistent visuals aligned with the Thryv brand and design system. Experience applying advanced interaction and usability principles and effectively communicating design rationale to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to proactively integrate content and information design into product work with minimal oversight and partners closely with Content Design to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the product content strategy and accessibility standards.
  • Demonstrates a strong grasp of user research methodologies and the ability to actively collaborate with researchers to plan and execute studies, synthesize research insights with minimal support to inform product decisions, and advocate for the value of research within the team.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently with team members and stakeholders to facilitate design reviews, contribute to cross-functional alignment, and help build shared understanding across product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Proficient in Figma and other standard design tools, with a working knowledge of HTML and CSS to effectively communicate with developers and support accurate implementation of designs.
  • Experienced in agile environments with the ability to independently contribute to iterative design and experimentation by leveraging feedback and data to refine solutions and drive continuous improvement. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and optimize the purchase order process for service acquisitions efficiently.
  • Experience leading and motivating a team, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication.
  • Solid understanding of procurement operations focusing on service procurement, purchase order lifecycle, and vendor management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including department heads and requisitioners, to align sourcing activities with service requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor purchase order statuses, track service delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office for managing workflows and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance in procurement processes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement process optimizations related to purchase order management.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
  • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
