Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  2. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Set clear sales targets, provide coaching and support, and conduct performance evaluations to drive individual and team success.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners to drive sales and foster long-term partnerships.
    • Conduct regular sales meetings, client visits, and presentations to communicate product offerings and address customer needs.
  4. Sales Operations Oversight:
    • Oversee the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze sales data, and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  5. New Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, distribution channels, and partnership opportunities.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to introduce new products and initiatives to the market.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability within the sales organization.
  7. Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to support sales initiatives and maximize ROI.
    • Monitor expenses, revenue projections, and profitability to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
  8. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Communicate market insights, customer feedback, and sales forecasts to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
    • QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
      • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales management or leadership role.
      • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
      • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
      • Deep understanding of the cannabis industry, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and consumer trends.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales initiatives.

       

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Must be at least 21 years old.
      • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
      • Compliance with all health and safety regulations and wearing protective clothing and equipment as required.
      • Flexibility to work in varying shift patterns and overtime as needed.
