Job Description & Requirements
The Manufacturing Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications, and other forms of instruction.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
- Perform Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) with precision and consistency.
- Weld and assemble valves and flanges, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and structural integrity.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and grind component parts.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
- Examine work for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preference for one-year certificate from technical school or college.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux core) welding techniques.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without sponsorship.
