Atlanta Cheesecake Company, a subsidiary of Dessert Holdings, is seeking a Mini Ovens Lead to support daily production operations and help drive safety, quality, and productivity on the production floor. This role serves as a key support resource for the Production Manager and assists with training, coaching, and coordinating team activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a production line of approximately 11 employees.
- Provide work instructions, training, and coaching to team members.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor production performance and assist with meeting hourly production goals.
- Complete and maintain production documentation, downtime tracking, attendance tracking, and schedule reporting.
- Communicate quality, safety, equipment, and production concerns to supervisors and managers.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor completion to ensure efficient workflow.
- Support production changeovers and help identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure employees follow SOPs and hold team members accountable for compliance with established processes.
- While the manager is responsible for final decisions, the lead plays a key support role by assisting in decision-making, quickly identifying and resolving production issues, and contributing effectively under pressure.
- Promote a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of food manufacturing or production experience required.
- Previous experience leading teams, providing work instructions, or conducting training preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warm production environment near ovens.
- Ability to work around common food allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, and tree nuts.
