Perform setup, trouble-shooting and corrective actions on all processes and equipment to provide quality parts, reduce costs, improve safety and increase productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Perform start up and shut down of all Injection Molding equipment, processes and related equipment
- Document process changes out of approved tolerances on LM 795. Communicate issues to Process Engineer for root cause analysis
- Submit maintenance requests for Injection Molding equipment repairs
- Communicate with Quality, Tool Repair, and Supervisors as required to maintain production requirements
- Understand and enact all Injection Molding ISO and TS 16949 requirements
- Complete mold changes on all Injection Molding machines
- Clean hoppers and change material to bill of material specifications
- Work with production supervisor to reduce scrap and increase efficiency
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a team environment - must display proactive initiative and self-motivated attitude working to improve processes
- Must be available for changing work hours as customer/company demands change
- Must have knowledge of Injection Molding machines, plastic resins and hot runner systems
- Working knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and lean practices (preferred)
