Job Description

Early Morning Lifeguard (4:45 AM – 11:00 AM Weekday Availability Required)
Location: 635 Plymouth Street East Bridgewater, MA

No prior certification? No problem—we provide training for the right candidates.

Important: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Ellis Lifeguard Certification course.

What You’ll Do

  • Open the pool on time and set the tone for a positive, welcoming environment
  • Greet members and create a friendly, respectful atmosphere
  • Monitor all swimmers to ensure safety and enforce pool rules
  • Support lap swim operations, including organizing lanes as needed
  • Communicate clearly with participants about classes and pool procedures
  • Respond quickly and professionally to any incidents or emergencies
  • Assist with fun and engaging aquatic programs and events
  • Promote YMCA programs and connect members to opportunities
  • Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings
  • Secure the pool area at the end of your shift unless properly relieved

Schedule Requirement

  • Weekday availability for shifts between 4:45 AM – 11:00 AM
