2nd Shift, 2:45pm - 12:45am; Monday - Thursday

 

Position Description:

Responsible for the installation of mostly new mechanical or electrical equipment such as vacuum pumps, blower systems, toolboxes, bumpers, wash-down systems, in commercial tank trucks. This candidate uses various hand tools to mount and install equipment, inspect work for defects, and ensure parts are installed to specifications. Work environment is clean and orderly and involves installing 95% new equipment. Also, natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate various installation equipment such as drills, material handling equipment, and overhead cranes.
  • Assist Senior Equipment Installer/Mounters by prepping surfaces, locating inventory, gathering necessary tools or other tasks determined by a Leadman or Senior Equipment Installer/Mounter.
  • Maintain and repair all tools and installation equipment.
  • Practice good housekeeping by keeping floors swept and work area tidy.
  • Follow strict safety regulations such as wearing gloves, protective eyewear, and safety shoes.
  • Monitor installation tools for appropriate usage and temperature.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Capable of interpreting technical plans and drawings.
  • Willingness to be mentored and accept constructive feedback.
  • Learn how to troubleshoot and make equipment operational.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, a plus.
  • Ability to read gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.
  • Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and follow directions.
  • Maintain accurate work and good levels of concentration.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis.
  • Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
