New Mexico Landman - OIl & Gas

About the Project
Paramount Field Services is staffing a multi-phase Overriding Royalty Interest (ORI) acquisition project targeting 5 federal exploratory units in Rio Arriba and San Juan counties, New Mexico. This is a complex, research-intensive engagement involving units dating to approximately 1950, requiring experienced landmen who can trace ownership forward from dated Exhibit Bs with accuracy and efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing
•       Perform cursory title reviews on federal unit agreements and Exhibit Bs to build owner lists of private ORI holders
•       Run full chain-of-title on responding owners to calculate Net Royalty Acres (NRAs)
•       Research county records in Rio Arriba and San Juan counties, including online records and physical microfiche archives
•       Coordinate document requests with the BLM and New Mexico State Land Office
•       Prepare run sheets and ownership reports; AI-assisted tools available for reporting efficiency
•       Support targeted mailer campaigns by providing accurate owner contact data
•       Work within a phased project structure and report progress and burn rates to the Project Manager

Required Qualifications
•       specifically with federal exploratory units
•       Demonstrated ability to trace title from 1950s-era unit agreements and Exhibit Bs forward to present
•       Hands-on experience with BLM records and New Mexico State Land Office processes
•       Familiarity with Rio Arriba and/or San Juan county record systems, including microfiche archive access
•       Strong run sheet preparation skills and attention to title accuracy
•       remote-only candidates will not be considered

Preferred Qualifications
•       Experience with Overriding Royalty Interest (ORI) acquisitions
•       Prior work on federal unit acquisition or divestiture projects
•       Familiarity with Communitization Agreements (CAs) and BLM imaging request processes
•       Experience with AI-assisted run sheet or reporting tools
•       AAPL membership or RPL/CPL designation a plus
