Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our New Jersey warehouse team. In this role, you will handle day-to-day warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and order preparation.
The ideal candidate is a certified forklift operator who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our New Jersey warehouse team. In this role, you will handle day-to-day warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and order preparation. The ideal candidate is a certified forklift operator who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving Operations:
- Accurately receive, unload, and unbox incoming freight and material shipments.
- Thoroughly inspect incoming goods for manufacturing defects, transit damage, or quality discrepancies, reporting issues immediately to supervisors.
- Verify packing slips against physical inventory received and process outbound shipments using warehouse tracking systems.
- Order Preparation & Staging:
- Safely pull, pack, secure, and wrap high-end carpet and rug orders according to daily fulfillment schedules.
- Stage prepared orders in designated shipping bays, ensuring everything is clearly labeled and ready for local delivery trucks and freight carriers.
- Cut Table Operation:
- Operate specialized cutting table equipment to precisely measure, cut, and finish rolled carpet and textile goods according to exact custom order specifications.
- Maintain exact documentation of roll balances and cuts to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Supply Fulfillment & Inventory Support:
- Assist in routine inventory cycle counts, stock replenishments, and managing general warehouse supply levels.
- Organize and store materials systematically to maximize space utilization, optimize picking efficiency, and maintain a clean warehouse environment.
- Equipment Operation & Safety:
- Safely and proficiently operate a Hilo, forklift, and other specialized material handling equipment to move heavy, oversized rolled goods throughout the facility.
- Perform daily pre-operation equipment safety checks and strictly adhere to all OSHA, building safety guidelines, and company protocols.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Certification: Must hold a valid Hilo / Forklift Certification.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience handling carpet, textiles, or heavy rolled goods is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to comfortably lift, push, and pull heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs) and stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
