Description
- We provide a relaxing, welcoming, supportive environment for our patients. You'll have time to get to know them. We typically see 5-6 patients per day.
What we are looking for:
- APNP or PMHNP with excellent clinical skills
- Passionate about helping people and making a difference
- Person that can work independently in collaboration with the medical director
Requirements:
- Valid Wisconsin nurse practitioner license and current DEA license
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to contribute a warm, comforting, professional presence for patients
- Ability to work with MD and techs or medical assistants in a collaborative environment
Duties:
- Examine patients and educate them on our treatments and alternatives
- Administer sub-anesthetic IV Ketamine treatment plan according to protocols using clinical judgment to tailor treatment to each individual
- Monitor and evaluate patients and maintain patient safety throughout their sessions
- Collaborate with mental health providers and communicate patient progress with them
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Safe handling of Schedule 3 controlled substances and related record keeping
- Assist with general clinic operations including maintaining cleanliness and helping the medical assistant turnover rooms if needed
- Phone consults with prospective patients
- Follow up with patients after ketamine treatments
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a clinical setting as nurse practitioner of at least 2 years
- Experience with IV placement
- Experience in mental health is a plus
- Critical care, emergency, or PACU experience is a plus
Hours
Two to Three 8-hour days to start. With the ability to add additional hours as we grow.
