Part time - no benefits - 8 hours per pay period
Job Summary:
A clinically competent NP who demonstrates expertise in the assessment of the patient, diagnosis & the management of medical conditions both acute & chronic. Works independently & autonomously with MD collaboration. Provides primary care for diverse populations. Provider, mentor, educator, & patient advocate.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Uses 2 patient identifiers before providing care or treatment.
- Orders appropriate tests & treatments for preventative & diagnostic purposes.
- Reassesses patient in response to changes in condition after intervention & as needed, & documents.
- Demonstrated comprehensive history taking of health & medical history.
- Conduct a thorough physical exam based on age & history.
- Identify health & medical risk factors.
- Diagnosis appropriately based on history, physical exam & test results.
- Interpret diagnosis studies (lab tests, x-rays, EKG).
- Appropriate consultation & referral as needed to other health professional or community agencies.
- Perform diagnosis studies as needed.
- Prescribe medications as needed.
- Prescribe non-pharmacologic interventions.
- Assist in surgical procedures such as suturing, splinting, & biopsies.
- Develop plan of care plus medical decision making skills.
- Collaborates with collaborating MD as needed.
- Collaborates with fellow medical team in order to provide comprehensive care.
- Communicates effectively with patients/families.
- Determine effectiveness of prescribed treatment & education plans.
- Completes team member physicals as assigned.
- Participates in quality assurance reviews.
- Utilize community resources.
- Facilitate patient participation in care.
- Standardizes care following established guidelines.
- Maintains accurate & timely documentation.
- Maintains confidential files.
- Observes HIPAA regulations, policies & procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates excellent communication & organization skills.
- Detail oriented & able to multi-task.
- Able to operate basic office equipment & work on a computer.
- Able to operate stretchers, wheelchairs, various electrical/battery-operated equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree majoring in Advanced Practice Nursing
- Licensed as an APN in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
- Current in CPR
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, & use of hands
- May need to lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
