Job Description

Symbios Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who wants to practice primary care in a more connected, relationship-based model.

We serve health-conscious adults in the Lowcountry who are looking for a partner in their health, not just a provider. Many come to us because something feels off, and they are not getting clear answers or a coordinated plan.

At Symbios, care is connected. Primary care, fitness, therapy, recovery, and advanced regenerative services work together in one place under a physician-led standard. You will work closely with Dr. Stephen S. Luther and a collaborative, caring team, allowing you to assess, diagnose, and guide patients with a more complete view of their health.

Your role is to help patients improve how they feel and function day to day, and to support long-term outcomes across energy, strength, metabolic health, and overall well-being. The goal is simple. Help patients live healthy, fit, and fully.

This is an outpatient role with no hospital call. The model supports longer visits, lower daily volume, and a focus on prevention, performance, and continuity of care.

What You Will Do
• Provide comprehensive primary care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
• Identify underlying drivers of common conditions such as fatigue, weight changes, metabolic issues, and performance decline
• Develop clear, individualized care plans that patients can follow in daily life
• Incorporate sleep, nutrition, movement, fitness and stress into clinical decision-making
• Practice with a high level of clinical autonomy while collaborating with Dr. Luther and the care team
• Coordinate care across on-site services to improve follow-through and outcomes
• Monitor patient progress over time and adjust care plans based on results
• Contribute to a consistent, high-quality patient experience

WHO WE ARE & HOW WE BEHAVE

Healthy: We strive to live healthy, fit, and beautiful, and influence others to do the same.

Empathy: We listen to and understand people’s needs, concerns, and emotions, and provide support and solutions that address their situation with genuine care and compassion.

Service: We create “WOW” experiences for our patients and coworkers. Going above and beyond to make a positive and supportive experience.

Teamwork: We do whatever it takes to complete our daily tasks and assist others while providing quality care and services.

Ownership: We own whatever problem is presented until we find a solution or resolution. We do not quit in the midst of daily challenges and obstacles.

How You Will Practice

• Outpatient-only setting with no hospital responsibilities
• Longer appointment times to support thorough evaluation and patient education
• Lower daily patient volume to allow for more focused care
• Access to on-site services for faster implementation of care plans
• Collaborative environment with direct access to an interdisciplinary team

Who You Are

• Licensed NP or PA in South Carolina or able to obtain licensure
• 3+ years of clinical experience, ideally in primary care or a related field
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to connect symptoms to broader health patterns
• Experience managing chronic conditions such as metabolic health, hormone balance, or musculoskeletal issues is a plus
• Clear communicator who can educate patients without overcomplicating care
• Interested in a model that allows more time with patients and a more complete approach to care
• Comfortable working within a collaborative, team-based environment

This Role Is a Fit If You Want

• To move away from high-volume, task-based care
• To spend more time understanding each patient
• To follow patient progress and see measurable improvements in energy, weight, strength, and metabolic health
• To work in a setting where care is coordinated, not fragmented
• To be part of a team building a more integrated model of care

This role is not a fit for providers who prefer high-volume, transactional care.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation with performance incentives
• Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and CME
• Outpatient-only role with no hospital call
• Access to an integrated campus with multiple services in one location
• A growing practice with strong patient demand and retention
