Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Spring View Hospital standards of performance, policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for upholding the Spring View Hospital Values, namely: respect for every individual, delivery of quality service, constant pursuit of excellence and commitment to integrity. In addition, each employee is responsible to abide by and uphold the Spring View Hospital Standards of Performance.
Under the general direction of the department director and close collaboration and guidance of the department medical director, is responsible for providing episodic care of patients, within the scope of her/his license. Educates patients, about medical problems and prevention relating to their personal health issues. Communicates with collaborating physician concerning treatment of patients, as appropriate. Prescribes medications as needed. Refers emergency cases to the hospital's Emergency Department and refers complicated cases that are non - Emergency to hospital affiliated physician or a specialists as needed. Treats medical injuries, problems or situations that he/she has been trained to treat and situations the collaborating physician is qualified to advise.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of a NP or PA program with a preferred two (2) years work experience as a NP or PA, Certified in Family Practice. Current KY ARNP licensure OR current KY PA-C certification is required. Previous experience working with an EMR preferred.
