JOB SUMMARY:



 


Provides primary health care in collaboration with physician(s); manages selected cases according to established proto-cols; maintains case histories, medical reports, and other records; prepares treatment plans; orders x-rays and other di-agnostic procedures; writes prescriptions according to protocols; refers acute and chronic care patients; patient education counseling; conducts health assessments utilizing diagnostic tools and laboratory tests.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Currently licensed by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure and Supervision.



  • Demonstrates graduation from an approved school for nurse practitioners.



  • Experience in a clinic or ambulatory setting preferred.



  • National certification as Nurse Practitioner.



  • Licensed under the supervision of an Active Staff physician.



  • Physically and mentally able to conduct job duties as listed.



  • Maintains malpractice coverage as defined by the Board of Trustees.



  • Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire.




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.



  • Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.



  • Able to distinguish colors.



  • Able to discriminate minute details.



  • Able to communicate (written and oral) in English.



  • Demonstrate adequate vision for evaluating patients.



  • Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.



  • Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.



  • Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.



  • Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: Administer medications and handle instruments).



  • Able to work in a latex-burdened environment.
