Job Summary
Under supervision of the Nutrition Site Manager, to operate a vehicle in the delivery of meals and supplies and to work unsupervised at satellite food service locations; to assist in the proper reheating and/or cooking of main course items and side dishes, preparing salad bar and the setup and maintenance during service, service line set up and presentation and serving of meals; and kitchen cleaning as part of maintaining a safe food production and service environment. NS-Delivery Driver is also responsible, as assigned, for record keeping of temperatures, inventory counting and cashiering duties including; proficient operation of point of sale software system, recording meal sales, record keeping, monies collection including processing advanced payments; and do other work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Required:
1. Two years of successful driving experience.
2. One year experience in quantity food preparation.
3. Food Handlers Card Certification.
4. Equivalent to graduation from high school.
5. Possession of valid California Class C driver's license.
6. Read, write, perform basic math skills, and speak at a level sufficient to fulfill the duties to be performed.
7. Successful completion of defensive driving course.
8. Drug test and physical exam.
Knowledge of:
1. Basic preventive maintenance requirements of automotive equipment.
2. District geography.
3. Methods and equipment used in serving foods in large quantities; operation, cleaning, and care of utensils and equipment.
4. Basic kitchen work, safety, and sanitary habits and dress.
5. Proper personal hygiene.
6. Oral and written communication skills.
7. English language skills.
8. Basic math skills.
9. Customer service and public relations skills.
10. Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
