Minimum Qualifications
Napa County is recruiting to establish an Eligibility List for the position of Office Assistant II. The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time, part-time, limited term and extra help vacancies. The list established from this recruitment process will be abolished in approximately three months from the eligibility establishment date. If you were not successful in this recruitment, please apply again in the future to ensure you are on the latest list for consideration. This list will replace any previously established lists.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Education
To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
Experience: One year of directly related general clerical experience.
Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade, including or supplemented by general clerical training.
License or Certificate: Certain positions assigned to this class may require possession of a valid California Driver's License.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as some vacancies may have a bilingual Spanish requirement.

DISASTER SERVICE WORKERS:
Napa County employees automatically become Disaster Service Workers. This means that when Napa County experiences emergencies (earthquake, wildfire, power outage, flood, etc.) you may be asked to pivot from your regular duties to provide critical services to those affected by the emergency (CA Govt Code § 3101).

SALARY -
Salaries are based on a five-step range. Appointments are usually made at the beginning step with advances occurring at six months and the completion of each year thereafter. Salary rates are reviewed annually.
