- Qualifications: High school diploma required; an associate degree and 1–3 years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. The ability to collaborate and help manage a fast-paced office environment is essential. This role requires building effective working relationships with stakeholders, including the School Marshal, SRO, security team, staff, administration, and external visitors. Proficiency with Google applications is preferred. Telephone skills, computer data entry, and general clerical skills are essential.
DUTIES:
- Assist the Main Office Administrative Assistant and security staff with daily Main Office operations.
- Support the greeting and assistance of visitors to the Main Office.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
Communication Systems Support:
- Answer and/or transfer internal and external phone calls.
- Assist with intercom calls and school announcements.
- Support the use of the public address system.
- Assist with programming and monitoring the main bell and intercom system.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain the postage machine.
- Use the Main Office two-way radios as needed.
- Assist with managing the Main Office printer.
- Maintain the Main Office files and supplies.
Security and Operations Support:
- Assist in monitoring security cameras and access control systems throughout the day.
- Maintain the staff lock distribution system.
- Assist with billing and collection of funds for lost books.
- Provide coverage and support in school-based attendance offices as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Associate Head of School.
