Position Summary
The Department of Family Medicine is seeking an administrative professional based in our East Lansing office. This position will provide staff support to faculty in our Geriatrics Division, including travel assistance, scheduling, and purchasing. This individual must be able to work independently on tasks yet also enjoy working as part of our larger Department team. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
Valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position. Completion of the probationary period: knowledge of basic personal computer terminology and operations, and the ability to use e-mail and the Internet.
