The OnBase Document Processing Assistant supports university document management operations through the indexing, classification, quality review, and organization of electronic documents within the Hyland OnBase Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. This position helps ensure university records are accurately captured, categorized, and available for authorized business processes.
The student employee will work under the guidance of Enterprise Applications staff and follow established procedures for document handling, indexing, quality assurance, and records management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Document Indexing and Quality Control (80%)
- Review electronic documents and identify appropriate document classifications.
- Enter and validate indexing information according to established standards and procedures.
- Verify document quality, completeness, and legibility.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure indexing accuracy.
- Correct indexing errors and update metadata when directed.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of university records.
- Process document backlogs and support ongoing document management activities.
2. Records Management Support (15%)
- Assist with organizing and maintaining electronic records within OnBase.
- Support document cleanup and records maintenance projects.
- Assist with document retention and archival activities as directed.
- Identify and report data quality issues or unusual documents requiring review.
3. Administrative and Operational Support (5%)
- Maintain tracking logs and processing metrics as requested.
- Participate in training sessions and process improvement activities.
- Assist with special projects related to document management and records operations.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Pay Rate - $12.22/hour
Required
- Current enrollment at Case Western Reserve University.
