Job Summary
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the park, ensuring a safe, efficient, and exceptional experience for guests and team members. This role involves managing multiple area locations, including rides, aerial, barn, and Gator Bayou dry attractions, to ensure all operations run smoothly and align with company standards. The Operations Director will implement strategies, improve processes, and achieve operational goals while maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
To succeed in this role, individuals must perform all essential functions effectively, with reasonable accommodation provided as needed.
• Work closely with the General Manager in establishing on-going operations procedures and programs.
• Establish departmental policies and enforce those policies.
• Participate at least once a week as park Duty Manager.
• As needed, interview and select staff following proper procedures.
• Ensure proper staffing levels in all locations with well-trained, courteous friendly team members and provide all necessary tools for success.
• Direct supervision of Operations Managers, Supervisors and Leads.
• Conduct daily and frequent site inspections to ensure that all locations meet the highest possible standards of safety, courtesy, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Work with General Manager in maintaining the parks safe operation for both staff and guests.
• Participate in regular meetings with the various department heads to ensure good communications within the park.
• Notify General Manager regarding the immediate need for repairs to ensure safe operations, minimal downtime and good appearance of the park.
• Conduct periodic observational audits of aerial guides.
• Handle special situations involving inclement weather, lost children, major accidents, visits by VIP’s, or any other situation that could arise in the daily operation.
• See that all First Aid Reports and other pertinent data are collected and properly reported.
• Perform aerial training and other training functions as needed.
• Manage staff in a positive and motivating manner.
• Keep Operations Managers and Supervisors informed of all changes in policies and procedures so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate with staff.
• Maintain close and open communication with department supervisors, staff, and guests.
• Conduct In-service Training for aerial guides each month during operational months.
• Keep General Manager and Human Resources informed of all matters concerning staff discipline.
• Establish vendor contacts.
• Follow all company policies and procedures while protecting company assets.
• Maintain clean and tidy work area.
• Take pride in their wardrobe & appearance.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications
Management experience required.
Minimum of 3+ years of industry (amusement attraction) experience required.
