Location: West Bend, WI area
Status: Full-Time | Exempt

 

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Operations Leader to oversee maintenance, transportation coordination, and yard operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment readiness, efficient logistics, and seamless day-to-day operations that support project timelines and business goals.

Role Description

  • Lead daily operations across maintenance, yard, and logistics functions
  • Coordinate schedules, resources, and workflows to meet production demands
  • Manage transportation planning, routing, and delivery coordination
  • Support and develop supervisors, drivers, and operational team members
  • Partner with internal teams to align priorities and ensure execution
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained/repaired and operating effectively
  • Monitor performance, manage costs, and support operational reporting
  • Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
  • Help maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment

 

Key Qualifications

  • 5 years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, maintenance, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in production, logistics, or a related field
  • Ability to manage and quickly respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Experience working with equipment in transportation or production environments is a plus
  • Able to meet physical demands including material handling and extended periods of standing and movement
  • Proficiency with standard business tools and systems, including technology


Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily based in a production/shop and yard environment
  • Regular interaction with equipment, materials, weather, and active work zones
  • Schedule typically aligns with first shift, with flexibility required based on operational needs
  • Occasional extended hours or after-hours support will be needed
