Operations Management Trainee – Warren Heim
Reports To: Director of Operations
Direct Reports: N/A
FLSA Status: Exempt (Not eligible for OT)
Employment Type: Full time
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $60,000 Annually

Position Overview: The Operations Management Trainee is a leadership-track role designed to provide comprehensive exposure to both office and hands-on manufacturing operations. This position offers experience in production planning, customer service, and manufacturing processes, preparing the trainee for future leadership roles within the organization. The trainee will serve as a flexible team member, supporting multiple functions as needed and learning to make operational decisions that impact both efficiency and quality.
Essential Job Functions:
Office Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders into the ERP system.
- Invoice orders after shipment.
- Update raw material planning tool using ERP and Excel reports.
- Use planning tool to make purchasing decisions and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Perform customer service tasks, including providing ETAs, answering product questions, handling RFQs, and supporting new product development.
- Complete special projects at the direction of the Director of Operations (e.g. digitize item specific documentation, complete time studies for manpower planning and costing, etc.)
Hands-On Manufacturing Responsibilities
- Cutting, parts kitting, screen printing, sewing, and shipping/receiving
- Serve as a substitute in manufacturing based on demand, such as absenteeism or high production volume.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Training: Provided on the Job
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications: Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree required
Experience: 1-2 years of prior manufacturing, production, or ERP experience preferred
High Understanding of computer skills required
Forklift Certification Preferred

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk for duration of shift. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions: Temperature controlled plant environment with constant background noise.
