Job Description

Shift Schedule: Thursday 12:00NN-6:00PM & Friday to Sunday 6:00AM - 6:00PM



Job Summary:



Provides leadership and direction to the manufacturing team in a manner that ensures the operation meets or exceeds customer requirements as well as all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.



Essential Functions:




  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products, and organizes and monitors workflow.

  • Ensure proper attendance of all staff, and discipline when necessary.

  • Work with HR on performance management, disciplinary processes, and all other employee relations issues.

  • Interview potential candidates including: evaluating, site tours, and making final decision on hiring.

  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsible for overall shift operations in all value streams and supporting shift functions ensuring that customer requirements are exceeded, costs are controlled and quality/regulatory requirements are met.

  • Improves processes by monitoring and upgrading processes, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results on shift production summaries.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.

  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, and answering questions and responding to requests.

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Partner with Director of Engineering, Director of Supply Chain, Director of Quality to ensure new product process and procedures are followed and product launch schedules are met.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required:




  • High School diploma/GED; Degree in relevant field will be an advantage

  • 2-4 years’ relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience

  • Organizational and leadership abilities

  • Communication and interpersonal skills



Physical Requirements:




  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds

  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching
