Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational health of the organization — overseeing internal processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets and vendors, and ensuring programs and services are delivered efficiently and on schedule. This role suits a process-minded leader who can translate strategy into reliable execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across departments, ensuring workflows are efficient, documented, and consistently followed
  • Develop, monitor, and refine operational policies, procedures, and performance metrics
  • Manage operational budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Coordinate procurement, vendor relationships, and service contracts
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate operational and administrative staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational standards
  • Prepare operational reports and present performance data to senior leadership
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous-improvement initiatives
  • Support strategic planning and execute organizational initiatives on time and within budget
  • Coordinate facilities, logistics, and resource allocation


Requirements


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, administration, or program management (5+ preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, staff, and cross-functional processes
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with office and project-management software

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations or program management
  • Experience in a nonprofit, government, or public-sector environment
  • Familiarity with grant management or public funding compliance
  • Process-improvement or project-management certification (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP)
