Furniture Connection, Inc. is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Distribution Center operations. This role oversees warehouse operations, fleet management, staff leadership, and safety compliance while ensuring efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

 

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including furniture movement, storage, assembly, and inspections 
  • Ensure proper inventory control and 100% product accountability 
  • Conduct daily operational inspections and improve processes as needed 
  • Maintain facility operations including building and grounds 

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Interview, hire, train, and manage distribution center staff 
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance 
  • Manage employee performance through feedback, recognition, and discipline 

Fleet & Driver Oversight

  • Monitor driver safety, performance, and compliance 
  • Oversee maintenance and condition of all company vehicles 
  • Report and document any vehicle or personnel incidents 

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce company safety programs and OSHA standards 
  • Lead and coordinate employee safety training 
  • Maintain a safe work environment across the facility 

Communication & Customer Service

  • Work closely with leadership and store teams to ensure customer satisfaction 
  • Resolve operational and client issues in a timely manner 
  • Escalate concerns to senior leadership when necessary 

Administrative Duties

  • Approve employee timecards in Paylocity (by end of business Monday) 
  • Maintain records for personnel, equipment, and operations 
  • Manage recycling program and submit monthly reports 
  • Provide monthly operational reports to Director of Operations


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics management 
  • Proven leadership and team management experience 
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills 
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in furniture distribution or large-item logistics 
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar timekeeping systems
